Bleach does not kill bacteria. It kills moulds and algae. Bacteria creates smells. If you want to freshen the air in a room, use a good anti-bacterial agent that is human friendly. If you spill milk in your car - Mop up as much as you can. Make a solution of white vinegar and water. Spray it on the area, or use a cloth to rub it onto the area. your car will smell like fish and chips for a few days but the sour milk smell will go away immediately. I have tried it and it works!
If you need to get rid of mould, use a bleach solution or wipe the area with a solution of vinegar and water. Good for cleaning fridges if you havent got Autodet.
